New Bike

When I received the bonus last time, I planned to buy a new motorbike. Unfortunately, there are some other urgent things that I need to settle up first.

Even though the desire still there, but financially not really suitable for now. I need to clear up some of my debts first before thinking of new debts.

Buying a motorbike could cost me about RM2k just for the down payment. Since then, I switch my target to get at a bicycle. Hehehe. And won’t cost that much. Maybe around RM300. However, till now I still didn’t buy the bicycle. Hope to get one before the fasting month, so that it will be easier for me to go to the nearby surau.

Something surprisingly happens last Saturday. While window shopping around Carrefour Wangsa Maju, I noticed an exercise bike with a very reasonable price. Plus, it also available under Zero interest easy payment scheme. Without any hesitation I bought the exercise bike and here’s how it looks like:

However, since I bought the bike, it was not an easy task to use it. Reason being, my two and a half year old daughter always wants to play with. I can only use it while she was asleep. Here’s a look of my daughter playing with it, though she can’t really reach the pedal.

Last but not least, a quote from Biggest loser. Guys, by the time you see me next time, I’ll be fitter, slimmer and thinner. Hahahahaha. I’m not joking since this is one of this year resolution of mine. Peace

ASTRO Sports Package

It appears on Sunday news.
I believe it would be a great news especially for the bottom of table club such as Wigan, Bolton, Sunderland, Stoke fan.
They can expect to watch every match. Hahahahah

Astro planning to beam all 380 games of upcoming season

KUALA LUMPUR: For the first time, Astro All Asia Networks (Astro) is planning to beam all 380 English Premier League games of the upcoming 2010/11 season live into the homes of its sports package subscribers.

After the month-long FIFA World Cup “live” galore, the stage is now being set for a Barclays Premier League (BPL) “feast”.

The move will be significant, if it comes through, as only 120 BPL matches are shown live over a season, even in England.

Astro CEO Datuk Rohana Rozhan, who disclosed this to The Star, said the network was preparing to broadcast all BPL games live.

This would mean that local supporters of the lower-ranked teams in the BPL would get to see their teams in action every week.

The spotlight is now on glamour teams – Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool – with six matches shown live over the weekend and four delayed telecasts.

“Our aim is to show all 380 matches live. We’ll decide from those matches which teams to broadcast in HD (high definition).

“The big games will be shown in HD and maybe some in 3D,” Rohana said.

Rohana said the BPL matches would be aired over ESPN, StarSports, SuperSports 1 and SuperSports 2.

She said that Astro was also planning to create a SuperSports 3 channel for the purpose.

“Some matches would be streamed online as well as on Astro Arena, to allow access to our three million subscribers,’’ she added.

Rohana said there would be no issue over broadcast rights as Astro and ESPN StarSports had been successful after making a joint bid.

On whether there would be an increase in the sports package monthly subscription charges, Rohana said that would be “the last consideration.”

“We have to understand the fact that we have to make it affordable and customers must see value in that. Now we have to balance it against content cost,” she said.

Sixty per cent of Astro’s 2.94 million subscriber base are subscribers of the sports package, with RM66.95 being the minimum charge.

As for the other major European football leagues, Astro will air four matches each from the Italian Serie A and the German Bundesliga live each weekend, while Spanish Serie A fans will get to enjoy five live matches.

June Update

Well, there's quite a few of updates for June actually.
It just i'm too busy with the world cup. No time to update.

OK. Let's start with 9th June 2010. It marks the second year of my employment with Bank Muamalat. Meaning, this is the second longest serving job i had after SCAN. Can i break the record of two and a half year stay in one company? Wallahua'lam.

Secondly, 17th June is my 29th birthday. One more year to reach the old group generation. Heheheheh. My wife bought me a cake on the 16th and we planned to celebrate it that midnight. Unfortunately, Adriana can't wait for it. She keeps on crying and saying "Abbeday to you". So in the end. she's the one who officially cuts the cake. Here's a look of it:

I got a sport shoes from my wife as a birthday gift. That's one of my wishes. Hehehehe. Hope to get the other wishes next time.

Next thing, the CEO and my boss have bought a new iPad. It was my boss, so what the heck related to me? Well, since i've been supporting Mac before i've been called to explore this new iPad. Luckily it was not that hard. It's good to have i think, but i'm not thinking of having it at all.

After recieving some bonus, i'm thingking of going for a holiday. Preferebly within Malaysia. Maybe i'll take a leave early July since i still have 23 days of leave. Compare to last year, by June normally my total annual leave was already 15.

Last but not least, England qualify for the knockout....hahahhaa (luck)....and Italy sucks.

World Cup 2010

World Cup fever has started. Good thing is, it starts on weekend. So I managed to watch the entire match starting with South Africa versus Mexico until Serbia versus Ghana.

I did plan to wake up for Germany versus Australia, however I guess that my alarm not functioning well today. So I missed it. I’m sure it was an interesting game as I watched the highlight before I went to the office. Germany beats Australia easily by 4 – 0.

Talking about the World Cup fever, four years back when I was working with SCAN, I was the Vice President of the sports club. I did organize a fantasy football game with the entrance fee of RM2 per person. The prize was a replica of the world cup trophy which we design it ourselves plus some shopping voucher. The winner was Wynn, a diehard Italy fan and a LADY!!. What a shame to all those guys including me.

In 2002 World Cup, I was still studying in UIA. For the sake of world cup, I purposely bought a TV card to be installed in my PC. And sometimes, I did skip some of the classes if it involves interesting matches. Sometimes, I watched it at Pejal, Remi, and Herman room since they have a TV. If my mom read it, don’t worry I’ve already graduate with flying colors. Hahahaha. Flying colors since I never failed or need to repeat any subject.

So for this year, I really want England to win it. But I’m very sure it would be miracle if it happens. Especially when looking back at the goal Robert Green concede in the match against USA. I guess that Spain will be the champion. They have a perfect player on all position. Not like England which too sucks at the back. Sorry England fans.

Back to the Office

After spending 8 days on MC and a total of 13 days of leave including Saturday Sunday, at last i'm back to the office.
Good to be back.....but on my way to the office yesterday I already got a call on internet access problem. Well, what a way to greet me from a long vacations.

Yesterday, the bank also organized some Majlis Kesyukuran for the performance of the bank throughout the final year ends March 2010. Alhamdulillah the bank making a profit of 232% increase from last year. Another good news, the CEO also announce:
Hope i can get a good bonus. It's been a while that i ever taste a bonus since i left SCAN. AMIN

Red Eye

I have been on MC since last Friday due to the sympton of Red Eye.
The doctor said it might goes on up to two weeks.

Until now, 5 days since Friday it doesn't show any sign of improvment.
My eyes still Red and it feels like the entire eyeball were pressed hard enough.
Tears keeps on flowing.

And now, i'm quarantined myself from my family members.
I'm sleeping in a different rooms to avoid it from infected to my daughter and my wife.
Here's the look of my eyes.

Little Princess

This are some of the photos which we took for Adriana.
We just realized that there are no proper or studio photos of her.
Here we go:

So? How was it?
It was really hard to make her smile. This is the only best pose that we managed to get from her

3rd Anniversary

Yesterday marked our 3rd year wedding anniversary.

To my wife Farrah Nor Nori, hope that our happiness will last forever and thank you for everything you've done throughout this period.
Really appreciate it so much.

Some flashback of 3 years ago

I'm a lucky man

Alhamdulillah.

Looks like this March 2010 is a lucky month for me.
On my last post I've won myself RM100 from Petronas.
This time, when I opened up the Internal Communication Portal, there's a memo.
Eventhough, it's not the grand prize winner which will get a Toshiba Notebook. Still i got a useful prize - a digital al Quran. You can refer the product features HERE

Letter

Just came back from Kuching yesterday.
When I reached the office today, there’s one letter on my desk. It comes from Petronas Dagangan Berhad. Huh? Is it an offer letter? But I remember that I never went for any Petronas interview. Hahaha. To my boss, don’t worry I’m not looking for another job yet.
Once I opened up the letter, I was shocked that I won a contest organized by Petronas. The contest name “Experience The Power, Enjoy The Savings”. Here’s the letter.
I was a bit lucky that I won RM100. Alhamdulillah.

p/s: I first thought I won RM10000 and got really excited only to notice there's a dot in the middle of the zero's. Hahahaha

Kelantan - Batu Pahat - Kluang - Ipoh - Kuching

What a hefty month for me this March.
The first week i went to Kelantan, the following week i went to Batu Pahat.
Basically i need to conduct security awareness program to all bank staff nationwide.
Its good actually since i can travel and claims. On top of that, i just loved conducting the training. It reminds me during my time in SCAN Associates.

While writing this blog, i was in Kluang. Just came back from batu pahat on Saturday and on tuesday need to come back to Johor in Kluang. Well its part of the job. I've never travel since joining Muamalat close to 2 years ago. Heheheh.

This week, the session will be in Ipoh. I can go back to my hometown with all expenses covered. Nice huh? Coming back on Sunday, on Monday morning i need to fly to Kuching. I can't remember when was the last time i went to Kuching. 2 or 3 years ago i think.

All the session will ends this month. So for this month, i'll be travelling very much and i really enjoy it
