Weekend Outing

Last weekend, my mother was in KL. She got a complimentary stay at Impiana KLCC. So she decided to bring my daughter as well her only granddaughter to Aquaria KLCC.
While my mother and father went to Aquaria, me myself and my wife went to the Expo Barangan Buatan Malaysia (Malaysian Homemade Expo). We did buy something there, but all of it are just food. The rest of the thing didn't suits our interest.
On the part of the Convention Centre, Adriana was enjoying herself with my mother and father watching all fish inside Aquaria. At first i was quite afraid whether she will cries all day long. Here's some of the picture that my mother took. She really likes watching all those fish.

Its my birthday....a year older

It’s my birthday today. I’ll be on half day leave today. Well, my wife planned to celebrate it somewhere. Just the two of us, without Adriana. She’ll be staying at nursery. Heheheh.

I received the first wish about 12.05a.m this morning. It was from my mother in Ipoh. Thank you mama, love you so much.

Guess what I get for this year birthday from my wife? It was something that I’ve been dreaming of actually. It is a new NOKIA handphone. Here’s how the phone looks like:

World Record

Guess that everyone already knows that Man United has agreed to sell Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid for a world record of 80 million pounds.

As for me, it has been predicted and I'm not too shock. Since the saga took place last year, I knew that one day he'll definitely be a Real Madrid player. Same situation with previous Man United players such as Beckham, Van Nistelrooy and Heinze. Just hope that SAF will spend the money United received on another superb player such as Benzema or Ribery. Just wait and see, surely SAF will bring a new guy. On the other hand, the sale of Ronaldo would be an opportunity for fringe players such as Nani, Tosic etc.

Glory glory Man United...bye bye Ronaldo

1 year and counting

Today 9/6/2009 marks one year of my service in Bank Muamalat. It's not an easy way to sustain. Especially within one year, I've been working with 3 different Head of Department.
Within this time as well, few of my colleagues has left the organization and even transfered to other department. And lately, people keep on looking for another job. For me....I'll just wait and see.

As what I mentioned in my previous post, there's someone that has been disrupting the harmony in the team. I pray for a new changes inside the organization.

At last....

It has been so while since my last update. Those who has been following my blog, definitely noticed it. I can be consider as an active blogger last time but now its totally different.
There are some obstacles preventing me from updating my blog regularly. Hehehe...is it just some excuses? Well, among the reasons are:

1) The bank have block access to blogger, blogspot, wordpress etc. Even though I'm the one who controls it, but still I would try not to blog during office hour. Hehehehe. I'm the internet master here (proudly)

2) Secondly, I'm too busy with all the projects, working paper, management approval paper, POC. So far everything has been finalized and the projects that I've been handling since the first day I joined already concluded. Just waiting for PO issuance. Thank God.

3) Thirdly, I'm too busy learning new thing in the office or I can say in the IT world right now. I've been the main support for Macbook in the Bank. On top of that, I also need to equipped myself with Blackberry setting and configuration. I took it as a challenge, besides it can be add up to my CV.

Last but not least, here's something about Adriana my lovely daughter. She seems like to dig her nose (is this a correct words?). Here's a picture of her. The image quite blurr since I'm just using my mobile phone. Not DSLR.
I've also bought her a laptop. The main reason was to prevent her from disturbing me when I go online. Unfortunately, it only attracts her for a while.

Job Vacancy

Lately, the bank I'm working with has been conducting a robust interview session. Well I'm not surprised with the project that the bank's has embark since the took over from DRB Hicom completes. Here's some of the vacancy that maybe you guys would like to try:

Last but not least, Man Utd has won the EPL title for the 18th time in their history. Glory glory Man United. Here's a wallpaper of their title celebration.

Futsal With Media

Well, I've been so busy lately. Busy with all the paperworks, presentations, support, POC etc.
Just a quick update on this post.

I'll be joining a futsal tournament with the media such as Berita Harian, ERAfm, IKIM, RTM, NTV7, TV9, TV3, Harian Metro and some other media. This was organized by the Bank. I wasn't planned at all to join for this only last minute they invite since Muamalat is sending 6 teams. All together there will be 24 teams who join the event. The prizes seems quite interesting with RM3000 for the winner. Prizes will be given until 19th place. So we hope to at least get 19th place. Hahahahaha.

Well, back to my day to day life.
Lately there's been something disrupting the harmony in my department, IT to be exactly. I don't think i can put everything into detail here. But as a result of it, seems like everyone jobs looks not secured. Hope that what we fear will not even approach us. Pray to God for this.

Adriana, now can stand easily but still practicing to make her first move without fell down. She also managed to show us her teeth and nose. We'll be teaching her to show her eyes, ears and other part of the body slowly.

Alhamdulillah

Alhamdulillah. This month pay day, was also the day a bonus being given. For me, even though I'm not really entitle for at least one month (like most of the other staff got). I've been in the bank for about 10 months only (June08 - April09) and to received even on a prorate basis was a big gift already.

But one thing did bother me is the amount of tax deducted on the bonus given itself. I've got deducted about RM600. For me, its really a huge amount especially i'm only a receive a prorate basis bonus. Definitely, for my next year income tax will be an overpaid of tax. I wonder whether LHDN will return back all the excess.

As a gift for my wife, i bought her a handbag with her own choice. Eventhough its not really an original handbag, but it's actually an AAA gred and quite expensive as well. Here's a look of handbag choose by her.
And for my lovely baby Adriana, i already bought her a toy but i plan to bought another toy as well plus some new cloth for her, maybe tomorrow.

Langkawi Trip

As promised, this is the posting on my vacation last week to Langkawi Island. We went there on 2nd April and return back on 6th April 2009.

We took a flight at 6.50pm and luckily there's no delay and we reached the island around 7.50pm. By the time we reached there, Normah from Perdana Beach Resort already waiting for us. We got a free 3 days 2 night stay at the resort actually. Nothing much to be done on the first day, just looking for something to eat as our dinner. Here's the look of the resort. It can occupy 4 adult and 4 children. Its a two rooms resort with complete facilities.

In the next morning, we took a package for island hopping. It starts around 9.00am and ends at 1.00pm. As usual, the first destination would be the Tasik Dayang Bunting. Its quite a tired day since i have to carry Adri ana all the way up and down all the staircase. I wish Adriana can walk by herslef. Next, we went to Pulau Helang (Eagle Island) where eagle feeding activity was the main activity there. I didn't had the opportunity to snap lot of picture there since Adriana was sleeping and i need to hold her. Lastly, we went to Pantai Beras Basah (Wet Rice Beach). Most people enjoy some swimming activities here but not for us. Only Adriana taste it while both of us try to avoid sun burnt. Hey...it's almost 1.00pm during that time. Definitely i'll get sun burnt.
After coming back to our resort and taking a short nap, we rent a car which cost RM50 per day and headed to Pekan Kuah doing some survey of chocolates before buying it later. Heheheh. We found out the price has changed a lot since few years back. That night, before going back to the resort, we stop by at Medan Selera Nelayan. The best thing here was all the fish, prawn, squid are fresh. We bought some fish, prawn, squid etc and it cost only RM36. Not bad, considering the amount of prawn and squid that i took.

Next day, we went for cable car ride at the Oriental Village. The ticket cost RM15 per person for those who have Mykad. Foreigners are charged at RM30 per person. Adriana enjoy herself so much with the ride.

12.30pm we need to check out from Perdana Beach Resort. Next we headed to Pantai Tengah in which Rumah Peranginan TNB was located. It cost only RM20 for 3 days 2 nights stay. That's the advantage of having my wife as a TNB staff. The view from the house was superb.
A day before we come back to KL, again we went to Kuah Town for shopping. A total of almost RM300 was spent only for the chocolates. We didn't buy any cookingware or lunch/dinner set since it would be troublesome for me especially to carry it later. Maybe in another few years, we will come back and by that time Adriana already grown up.

Happy 2nd Anniversary

Today marked the 2nd year of our wedding. To my wife Farrah, thanks for being such a lovely wife. May Allah bless our marriage forever. I'll update later on our trip to Langkawi.

Holiday

Today will be my last day of the week I’m working. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not leaving the Bank for other job. Instead I will be on a long vacation. Not really too long. Only from 2nd to 6th April 2009. I’ll be going to Langkawi with my wife and my lovely daughter.

This is not a normal holiday. We can consider it as pre celebration of our 2nd year anniversary which falls on the 7th April 2009. I pray for God so that our marriage will always be bless and last forever. I’ll update again once I come back from the holiday.

Swimming, Mines Wonderland & Movie Marathon

I was on leave today since i need to settle up something with the lawyer. Even though we both on leave, we still send Adriana to the nursery. But we send her a bit late and took her earlier. We actually settle up everything around 10.00 am so we decide to watch GENG - Pengembaraan Bermula Upin & Ipin movie. We went to Galaxy Ampang for it. The best thing is, on wednesday certain movies cost only RM5. The shows starts at 1.30pm, while waiting for it we decided to watch another movie Rasukan Ablasa with same ticket price. Hehehehe. We haven't watch any movies at the theater ever since Adriana was born. So today can be considered as a revenged. As an overall, i rate both movies as OK. GENG really suitable for kids while that Rasukan Ablasa, i can say it as typical malay film.
Last Saturday, we bring Adriana for some swimming. The same day as well we went to Mines Wonderland which only opens from 5.00pm to 11.00pm. However it was quite frustrated since most of attraction there was closed for renovation. Here's some of the picture while we are there.

Maybank2u SCAM

Today i received an email from someone pretending to be maybank. If i'm a normal user @ lay man user, definitely i might falls into this trap.
So guys, please be aware of this. You can easily notice what's the connection that this Capital One Bank have with Maybank. Hahahaha

Cruise Rides @ Mines

Last Saturday I’ve went to Mines just for a purpose of boat cruising. I went there together with my wife, lovely daughter as well as my father and mother in law. Actually, we got a free ticket for 4 people and by hook or by crook, we have to go there on that day since the ticket will expire after that day. Hehehehe

Last time I noticed that the ticket price is just RM10 but nowadays it cost RM22 for adult and RM11 for kids below 12 years old. Since I got 4 tickets, meaning I’ve saved RM88 for a 15 minutes boat rides.

Along the way, the boat driver acts as a tour guide for us. One thing that really bothers me is this house. Can you guess whose house is this?

This house and the boat actually belong to Sheikh Kadir Sheikh Fadzil, the former minister. I’m not really remember what ministry he was (coz not so famous or handsome i think). Our tour guide told us it cost around RM 8 million to build the house. Where the hell did he got all those money? And this house was only meant for his second wife. Guys, think about it....maybe we should become a politician as well.

Last but not least, before we went back we drop by at Sate Kajang for our lunch. Forgot to take any picture since everyone was too hungry.

Microlink League 2009

Last Sunday (yesterday) I was involved with a futsal tournament organized by our vendor Microlink. The participants basically come from all their clients. Some of the EON Bank, CIMB, Amanah Raya, Bank Muamalat and others which I can’t recall the name of them.

Mens super league and senior players

Bank Muamalat itself sends three teams for the event. One for the super league, one for the women and one for the senior team. I’m playing for the super league since I’m yet to qualified for the senior team. Heheheh. The super league group comprises of seven teams, whereas the senior only consist of four teams while the women only have five teams. It’s really a tough challenge.

In the end, we didn’t even manage to win any single game. Our team just has enough players. The result we lost 2 -1, 6 – 1, 2 -1, 4 – 0. Of all the three goals scored, I managed to score once.

Teams from Bank Muamalat

The day before, I bring my wife, my daughter and my in law for a cruise ride in Mines Resort. I’ll update it later since I haven’t uploaded the picture yet.

p/s: Womens team got the fourth place, Senior team got the second place but our team....the last place. hahahaha
